Who Are We
People First Healthcare was incorporated in 2017. We have skilled staff with extensive experience in the aged care and health sectors. We aim to provide quality care to people aged 65 years and over, from the general Australian population and people from many ethnic backgrounds, as well as people who may be socially or financially disadvantaged.

A Home Care Package is a government-funded package of care and services that helps you live independently in your own home. It is designed to meet your personal needs – whether that involves a lot of support or a little.
Setting up your Home Care Package can be a confusing process, but we can guide you through it and help you access the services you need. Simply call us on 03 9402 9533.
To get the process started, you will need to contact My Aged Care. They will ask you a series of questions about the difficulties you are having with tasks at home. They may send someone out to assess you for services.
Once you have done this, you’ll receive a series of letters from My Aged Care as your application is processed. The following is a brief explanation of these letters and what will happen at each step.
The CHSP is entry-level support that helps older people to live independently and safely at home. It can also provide respite services to give carers a break.
The program aims to:
- help people live as independently as possible
- focus on working with them, rather than doing things for them
- give a small amount of help to many people
CHSP can provide services such as:
- help around the house
- transport
- meals
- personal care
- home modifications
- social support
- nursing and allied health
- planned respite care.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a federal government scheme that represents a new way of delivering assistance to Australians in need of disability support. The NDIS provides funding to approximately 500,000 Australians aged under 65 with permanent and significant disability for services and supports.
The NDIS is managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA). It is funded by the government and its purpose is to implement and manage the NDIS and ensure people with disability continue to get the support they need.
To be eligible for the NDIS you must: be an Australian citizen or hold a Permanent or a Special Category visa. be aged between 7 and 65. and have a permanent and significant disability.
The NDIS provides support and assistance to individuals with physical, sensory, intellectual, and psychosocial disabilities. The scheme is designed to give support and skill training to participants so that their standard of living and independence improve over time.
At its core, NDIS also provides economic support to those who are suffering from long-term or significant disabilities that prevent them from carrying out day-to-day activities. Eligible people can vary greatly, with the number and severity of their injuries and disabilities. Funding is allocated on individual needs.
