Who you're dealing with

This website is operated by People First Healthcare Pty Ltd, ABN 23 621 550 070, of Tenancy 5, Level 1, 15 Vaughan Street, Essendon Fields VIC 3041. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean that company, and "the site" means pfhcare.com.au and everything published on it.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you don't accept them, don't use it. We're not asking you to click anything; using the site is the acceptance.

What this site is for

The site exists to explain what we do, where we work, how the Support at Home program operates, and how to get in touch. It's a source of information and a way to start a conversation. It isn't a booking system, a portal, or a place where care is delivered.

Sending an enquiry through this site doesn't create a service agreement and doesn't oblige either of us to anything. Services begin only when you and we have agreed on them and signed a service agreement, and the terms of that agreement, not this page, govern the care itself.

The content here is general information

What we publish is general in nature. It's written for people trying to work out what aged care at home involves, and it can't take account of your health, your circumstances, your funding or your household.

Nothing on this site is clinical advice. It isn't medical, nursing, allied health, legal or financial advice, and it isn't a substitute for an assessment or for advice from a doctor or a health professional who knows your situation. Don't use it to make a decision about treatment, medication or a change to someone's care, and don't delay getting professional advice because of something you read here.

Availability of services

We deliver services across Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide, and the site describes what we can generally provide in those states. It doesn't guarantee that a particular service is available in a particular suburb, on a particular day, or within a particular timeframe.

Availability depends on carer coverage, clinical suitability, funding, and whether we have the right person for you at the time you ask. Our location and service pages are a guide, not an offer, and we may decline or discontinue a service where we can't deliver it safely or properly. If we can't help, we'd rather say so on the phone than take on work we can't do well.

Information about the Support at Home program reflects our understanding of the program as it applies at the date shown at the top of this page. It's a government program and it changes. For the authoritative position, check My Aged Care or the Department of Health and Aged Care.

Accuracy

We try to keep the site accurate and current, and we correct mistakes when we find them or when someone points one out. Even so, content can go out of date, and we don't warrant that everything here is complete or free of error at any given moment. If something on the site matters to a decision you're about to make, ring us and confirm it.

Using the site properly

You may read, print and share the pages here for your own personal use, or to help someone you're caring for. Beyond that, please don't:

The text, page designs, layout, graphics, photographs, logos and code on this site are owned by us or used under licence, and are protected by copyright and trade mark law. The People First Healthcare name and logo are our trade marks.

You're welcome to quote a short passage with attribution and a link back. Anything more than that needs our written permission, which you can ask for at info@pfhcare.com.au. Photographs are licensed to us and are not available for reuse.

Links to other sites

We link to government and independent organisations where they're the right source, including My Aged Care, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission and the Older Persons Advocacy Network. Those sites are not ours. We don't control them, we're not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices, and a link isn't an endorsement of anything beyond the specific thing we've linked to.

Where another site links to ours, that link doesn't imply any relationship between us and them.

The site itself

We aim to keep the site up and working, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. It may be unavailable during maintenance, or because of something at our hosting provider that's outside our control. We may change, move or remove any page at any time without notice.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't lawfully be excluded. Where a right can't be excluded but our liability for breaching it can be limited, our liability is limited to resupplying the relevant service or paying the cost of having it resupplied.

Otherwise, and to the extent the law allows, we're not liable for any loss or damage arising out of your use of this site or your reliance on anything published here, including indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or loss arising from the site being unavailable.

This clause is about the website. It doesn't limit our obligations to you as an aged care provider, which are set out in your service agreement and in the legislation that applies to approved providers.

Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what we collect through this site, where it's stored, who can see it and how to ask for access or correction. It forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The current version is the one on this page, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. You and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria and the courts able to hear appeals from them.

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply.
