Our Victorian office is at 15 Vaughan Street, Essendon Fields. Essendon proper is 3040; Essendon Fields is 3041, a few minutes away past the aerodrome. That proximity is not a marketing line, it changes what we can honestly promise here. A carer finishing a morning visit in Aberfeldie can be in Strathmore before ten. When a family rings on a Tuesday afternoon because something has changed, an Essendon address is the one we can most often reach the same day.

Houses built before anyone thought about a walking frame
Essendon's housing is largely Edwardian, Californian bungalow and interwar brick: the streets off Buckley Street, the ones running down from Mount Alexander Road, the pockets near Windy Hill. When the licence goes
Giving up the car matters less in Essendon than it does in the growth corridors. The 59 tram runs the length of Mount Alexander Road, and Essendon and Glenbervie stations are both on the Craigieburn line. But a tram is no use with a walking stick in one hand and two shopping bags in the other, and specialists are almost never on the route.

Support at Home replaced Home Care Packages on 1 November 2025. If you already have an approved package, you can direct it to us and we will work to your existing plan. If you have not been assessed, ring us before you do anything else and we will explain the order things happen in, which is not obvious from the outside. Plenty of Essendon families also pay privately for a few hours a week without any assessment at all, particularly to cover a gap while an assessment is pending.
Care is delivered at your address. You are welcome to come and meet the coordination team at Vaughan Street if you would rather do that face to face, but nobody has to travel to receive anything.
