Aged care at home in Melbourne
Support at Home and privately funded care across metropolitan Melbourne, coordinated from our Essendon Fields office.
Where we work
Our Victorian office is at Essendon Fields, and the northern and western corridors are where our coverage is deepest: Essendon, Moonee Ponds, Broadmeadows, Craigieburn, Roxburgh Park, Sunshine, Werribee and the suburbs around them. We also service the south-east through Dandenong, Cranbourne, Berwick and Frankston, and the east through Glen Waverley.
Melbourne is large enough that "we cover Melbourne" is close to meaningless, so here is the honest version: if you are inside the metropolitan area we can almost certainly help, and the further you are from the north and west the more likely it is that carer availability, rather than distance, sets how quickly we can start. Call and ask. We would rather tell you no on the phone than sign you up and let you down.

What we can deliver
The full service list is the same wherever you are in Melbourne. Personal care and domestic assistance are the two most people start with. In-home nursing and allied health cover the clinical side, and transport gets you to appointments when driving is no longer an option.
For anyone who has had a fall or a hospital stay, home modifications and an occupational therapy assessment usually come first. Grab rails and a shower stool do more to keep someone at home than any amount of extra visiting.
Languages
Melbourne's northern and western suburbs have some of the highest proportions of older residents born overseas in the country. Our carers between them speak a wide range of languages. When you call, say which language you would prefer and we will match where we can rather than leaving you to translate for your own parent.
Our Victorian office
Tenancy 5, Level 1, 15 Vaughan Street, Essendon Fields VIC 3041. Open Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, closed public holidays. Care is delivered in your home; the office is where coordination happens, so there is no need to travel unless you want to meet the team.

Common questions
Which parts of Melbourne does People First Healthcare cover?
We work across metropolitan Melbourne. Our strongest coverage is the northern and western corridors near our Essendon Fields office, and we also service the south-east and the eastern suburbs. If you are unsure whether we reach your street, call 1800 434 002 and we will tell you straight away rather than take an enquiry we cannot fill.
Do I have to come to the Essendon Fields office?
No. Every service is delivered in your own home. The office is where the coordination team sits, not where care happens. If you would rather meet in person you are welcome to, but nobody needs to travel to receive care.
How quickly can care start in Melbourne?
If you already have an approved Support at Home package, usually within a week of your agreement being signed. If you are paying privately, often sooner. The limiting factor is matching you to a carer who suits, not paperwork.
Do your Melbourne carers speak languages other than English?
Yes. Our carers between them speak a wide range of languages, which matters in Melbourne's northern and western suburbs where a large share of older residents were born overseas. Tell us the language you would prefer when you call and we will match where we can.
