Outside, the eighties blocks are the other recurring theme. They were bought for the backyard, and forty years later that backyard is the thing the family worries about. General home maintenance covers the mowing, the edges and the gutters, which is a smaller conversation than the one about selling.
Where the house has become the risk rather than the routine, an occupational therapy assessment through allied health leads into whatever modifications are actually warranted, which in a single-storey eighties house is usually a rail, a shower seat and better light rather than anything structural.
